All Things Might Spill is the long-awaited debut album by composer and sound artist Chantal Michelle on Shelter Press. Treating composition as choreography, Michelle shapes surreal sonic environments where distinct sounds form and dissolve relationships, exploring the fragility and mutability of perception. Trained as a dancer, she brings a heightened spatial sensitivity to recordings that often unfold alongside installations, multi-channel works, and sound sculptures, inviting a non-linear experience of time. Written largely in Berlin during winter 2024, the album lingers in sustained tension—the uncanny dilation of the moment just before rupture. Continuous tones and defined melodic phrases hover in a state of poised irresolution, as if light were spilling into darkness and back again. Featuring contributions from Alma Laprida, Severin Black, and Alliyah Enyo. Artwork by Lotus L. Kang on printed inner and outer sleeves. High-quality pressing, mastered by Stephan Mathieu and cut at Schnittstelle Mastering. Tracklist: 1. Magnetic Field I 2. Presence of Border 3. Breath Observation (for clarinet) 4. The Stream 5. Magnetic Field II 6. Drying of Frozen Soils 7. All Things Might Spill 8. Thoughts Like Blocks of Ice
