Produced by saxophonist Josh Johnson for Nonesuch Records, the album features Flea on trumpet and bass alongside an elite ensemble: Jeff Parker (guitar), Anna Butterss (bass), and Deantoni Parks (drums), with guest vocals from Flea, Thom Yorke, and Nick Cave. Additional contributions come from Mauro Refosco and Nate Walcott. Honora blends six original compositions—including the co-written standout Traffic Lights (Flea/Josh Johnson/Thom Yorke) and the acclaimed single A Plea—with inspired interpretations of works by George Clinton & Eddie Hazel, Jimmy Webb, Frank Ocean & Shea Taylor, and Ann Ronell. The result is a deeply expressive set that bridges hypnotic grooves, lyrical melodies, and modern jazz sensibilities.
