As some of the most requested titles by 4AD fans, these albums have been long out of print and highly sought after for years. Throwing Muses hold a historic place as the first American band ever signed to 4AD. The signing was sparked by a chance encounter when label founder Ivo Watts-Russell listened to the band's self-released demo cassette, The Doghouse Cassette, while stuck in traffic. Over a decade-long partnership, Throwing Muses released seven studio albums and two major EPs on 4AD. Ultimately, it all tracks back to their 1986 self-titled debut, a masterpiece of jarring time signatures and visceral emotion that completely shifted 4AD's identity away from UK goth-pop, laying the groundwork for 1990s American alternative rock.","brand":"4AD","offers":[{"title":"LP (Oxblood Vinyl)","offer_id":58973618110847,"sku":null,"price":25.0,"currency_code":"GBP","in_stock":true},{"title":"LP","offer_id":58973618045311,"sku":null,"price":24.0,"currency_code":"GBP","in_stock":true},{"title":"CD","offer_id":58973618078079,"sku":null,"price":13.0,"currency_code":"GBP","in_stock":true}],"thumbnail_url":"\/\/cdn.shopify.com\/s\/files\/1\/0286\/2825\/4773\/files\/Throwing_Muses.jpg?v=1793034119","url":"https:\/\/vinilo.co.uk\/products\/preorder-throwing-muses","provider":"Vinilo Record Store","version":"1.0","type":"link"}
