This is a limited-numbered edition, first time LP release of the 2009 Jimmy Cobb Quartet album 'Jazz In The Key of Blue' on 180g 'One Step Pressing' blue vinyl LP with an RSD exclusive expanded liner note. Originally released to commemorate the 50th anniversary of Miles Davis' Kind of Blue, the album stands as a profound statement from the legendary drummer of that historic session. On this record, Cobb is joined by Roy Hargrove on trumpet & flugelhorn, Russell Malone on guitar, John Webber on bass. Together with his own signature tasteful, swinging drumming, he crafts a masterclass in straight-ahead jazz. First issued on CD/SACD in 2009, the album has been out of print ever since.
