Winston Edwards produced a seminal dub album in 1974. Edwards left Jamaica to reside in the UK and had strong connections with reggae luminaries such as Joe Gibbs, Lee Perry, and King Tubby.
He traveled between London and Kingston (JA) to bring back recordings to issue on his Fay Music label in the UK. In 1974, this seminal dub set was released, now considered a classic early Tubby’s dub album.
It is a musical, tuneful, and seriously heavy dubwise set with Vin Gordon’s unique trombone lines well to the fore. This album is essential for any dub enthusiast.
