Single LP reissue on 4AD.
Originally released on Saddle Creek and now reissued through 4AD. These early recordings offer a beautiful glimpse of the songwriting that established Adrianne Lenker as one of the most powerful voices in contemporary music.
Adrianne Lenker and Buck Meek met when she moved to New York City and soon began making music together. Meek’s off-kilter guitar work proved the perfect counterpoint to Lenker’s melodic vocals and stirring lyrics.
Crafted on the road and originally captured across two acoustic EPs in 2014, a-sides & besides offers an early glimpse of what was to come while standing alone as a document of a deeply meaningful creative period.
