‘Rejoice’ is a collaboration between drummer Tony Allen and trumpet master Hugh Masekela. Recorded initially in 2010 and completed in 2019 with the blessing of Masekela’s estate, the album blends South African jazz and Afrobeat, featuring musicians including Tom Herbert, Joe Armon-Jones, Mutale Chashi and Steve Williamson. Released as a limited edition orange, white & pink splatter vinyl for the 40th anniversary of World Circuit Records.
