Bossanova, the Pixies’ third studio album, has been newly remastered from the original analogue tapes. Moving beyond their earlier, more primal sound, it foregrounds surf and space‑rock textures and features the singles ‘Allison’, ‘Dig For Fire’ and ‘Velouria’, along with a cover of ‘Cecilia Ann’. Black Francis’s cryptic, sci‑fi‑tinged lyrics and the album’s expanded production reveal fresh layers on repeated listens.
