Released at a pivotal moment in Opeth’s ascent, Deliverance offers a snapshot of a band refusing to stand still. Emerging in the wake of the breakthrough success of Blackwater Park and produced in tandem with Steven Wilson, their sixth studio album boasts unapologetic heaviness, immersive songcraft, and intoxicating atmospheres. This reissue offers a fresh opportunity to revisit a record whose power, innovation and enduring legacy remain as impactful today as when it first arrived.
