Tempos Difíceis Sempre Passam is a four-track remix EP in which Kokoroko’s music is reimagined through the creative lens of contemporary Brazilian artists. Translating the album’s title into Portuguese, the project carries forward the original record’s themes of hope, resilience and togetherness while forging a musical dialogue between London and Brazil. Highlights include Luedji Luna’s emotive take on “Never Lost,” two distinct reinterpretations of “Da Du Dah” by Onome (feat. Nyron Higor) and Aleh Ferreira, and Bruno Berle’s intimate reworking of “Closer to Me.” The collection is tied together visually by reimagined artwork from Luci Pina, creating a cohesive new chapter in the album’s story.
